Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Nicholson of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Erin Marie Nicholson to Mr. William Medlock Webb, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Webb of Plains.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Shearin of Toccoa, Mr. Thomas O. Nicholson of Gainesville, and the late Mrs. Ann R. Nicholson.

She is a 2007 graduate of Chestatee High School in Gainesville. She attended the University of Georgia in Athens, where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She received a doctor of pharmacy degree in 2014 from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy in Athens, where she was a member of the Lambda Kappa Sigma professional pharmacy fraternity. She is employed as a pharmacist at Kroger in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Pat Medlock of Plains, and Mrs. Nancy Webb of Cartersville and the late Mr. Maurice Webb.

He is a 2008 graduate of Southland Academy in Americus. He attended the University of Georgia in Athens, where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He received a master’s degree in occupational therapy in 2014 from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.

The couple plan to wed Aug. 16, 2014, at Lakewood Baptist Church in Gainesville.
