Jonathan K. and Katherine Moore of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Lauren Katherine Moore to Merritt “Quint” Woodhull Dixon V, son of Merritt “Sandy” Woodhull Dixon IV and Kimberly Vail Dixon of Savannah.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Lewis Edward and Eleanor Faulkner Moore, and the late Alma Bailey.

She is a 2002 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2006 from Georgia Southern University with a degree in psychology. She is employed as an orthopaedic consultant at Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics in Savannah.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Janet Barnett Dixon of Savannah and the late Merritt Woodhull Dixon III, and the late John Gordon and Helen Hartmann Vail.

He is a 2002 graduate of St. Andrew’s School in Savannah. He graduated in 2006 from Appalachian State University. He is employed as a managing partner at Dixon Properties in Savannah.

The couple plan to wed Nov. 15, 2014, at the Savannah Yacht Club in Savannah.
