John and Shelia Jenkins of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Sharon Rebecca Jenkins to William Ashley Ellis, son of Leon and Sue Ellis of Cleveland.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Terry and Margaret Jenkins of Murrayville and Junior and Joyce Ramsey of Suches.

She is a 2004 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in radiology technology. She is employed as a radiology technologist with Georgia Sports Orthopedics of Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Eugenia Ellis of Holly Springs, the late Clarence Ellis, Ann Kennedy of Woodstock and the late Harold Kennedy.

He is a 2001 graduate of White County High School in Cleveland. He graduated in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in radiology technology. He is employed as a radiology technologist with Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed April 25, 2009, at Big Canoe Resort in Jasper.
