Phil and Happy Ferguson of Gillsville announce the engagement of their daughter Stephanie Beth Ferguson to Tyler Jerry Sims, son of Jerry and Nancy Sims of Homer.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Monte and Martha Trout of Gainesville and Jerry and Maurine Ferguson of Gillsville.

She is a 2005 graduate of East Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2009 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She is employed as an accountant with The Norton Agency in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of W.F. and Merle Sims of Gillsville, Wilma Blackwell of Homer and the late E.B. Blackwell.

He is a 2002 graduate of Banks County High School in Homer. He graduated in 2007 with an associate degree in environmental technologies from North Georgia Technical College in Clarkesville. He is employed as an environmental specialist with the city of Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed June 27, 2009, at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Gillsville.
