Ken and Karen Dooley of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Lyndsey Paige Dooley to Brian Hugh Riddle, son of Lena Riddle of Dahlonega and Gary and Amy Riddle of Charleston, S.C. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Shirley Hicks of Gainesville, Billy Dooley of Flowery Branch and Johnny and Barbara Gillespie of Gainesville.

She is a 2009 graduate of Chestatee High School in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Raymond and Priscilla Riddle of Gainesville, Eulene Poore of Dahlonega and the late H.M. Poore.

He is a 2006 graduate of Lumpkin County High School in Dahlonega. He is employed as a member of the U.S. Marine Corp. stationed in San Diego.

The couple plan to wed Jan. 2, 2010, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Gainesville.
