Mary Ann Barnwell of Jefferson announces the engagement of her daughter Emilyanne Marie Barnwell to Wesley Chad Robinson, son of the late Winfred and Lillian Robinson. The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Bill Barnwell.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Louis and Mary Lorena Johnston and Bill Sr. and Lillian Barnwell.

She is a 2000 graduate of Jefferson High School in Jefferson. She graduated in 2004 from Brenau University in Gainesville with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and from Walden University in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in reading and literacy. She is employed as a kindergarten teacher at Commerce Primary School in Commerce.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late June Robinson, Carrie Robinson and Edward and Laura Haynes.

He is a 1998 graduate of West Hall High School in Oakwood. He is employed as an investment real estate agent in Flowery Branch.

The couple plan to wed Oct. 17, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Jefferson.
