Wayne and Barbara Poole of Lula celebrated their 50th anniversary on Nov. 22, 2008. A reception held in their honor at Sterling on the Lake Clubhouse in Flowery Branch was given by their children Darryl and Janice Smallwood, Tony and Jenny Poole, Chip and Amy Pearce and Mark and Christi Poole.

The couple have four children and nine grandchildren.
