Harold Dewitt and Jessie Ree Browning of Murrayville celebrated their 60th anniversary on Oct. 25, 2007. A dinner held in their honor was given by their family.

It all began one day in downtown Gainesville on the square. Ree whistled and Harold stopped. Sixty years later they are still together.

The couple have three children, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
