Solving the problem of gun violence in Gainesville and Hall County starts in the community, with proper parenting, responsible gun ownership and positive outlets for troubled youth. That was the take-home message from local law enforcement leaders Monday evening at a forum on gun violence hosted by the Newtown Florist Club, a longtime civil rights organization in Gainesville.
