In the wake of multiple 100-plus mph incidents on local roads, reporters with the Dawson County News, Forsyth County News and Gainesville Times began examining the rise of super speeding and particularly those drivers who break the 100 mph mark. Reporters spent weeks going over crash and citation data, questioning law enforcement officials, judicial officers, lawmakers, automotive experts, crash victims’ families and more to find out just how bad the problem is and what’s being done about it.
