PGA teaching professional Tim Weinhart from St. Marlo Golf Club in Duluth won the third annual TaylorMade-Adidas Golf Chicopee Woods Players Championship on Tuesday in Gainesville.
Weinhart fired a 12-under 204 for the 54-hole event, which was conducted over two days with the players playing 27 holes each day.
Weinhart is the reining Georgia PGA Player of the Year and has won that honor five times since 2002.
Greg Lee, from Chicopee Woods Golf Course, finished in a tie for 12th with a one-under 215. Joining Lee from Chicopee Woods was Jim Arendt, who finished with a 7-over 223.
Brian Mallory (Chattahoochee Golf Course) finished 8 over and Don Williams, also from Chattahoochee, finished 9 over.
Jeff Frasier (Chicopee Woods) and DeWitt Weaver (Chateau Elan) also finished at 9 over.
