Isabella Garrish had 22 assists, 22 digs, two aces, six kills and a blocked shot for Gainesville in a win against South Forsyth (22-25, 24-26, 25-14, 25-22, 15-8) on Thursday in Gainesville. It marks the Lady Red Elephants’ first victory in Region 7-6A.
Also for the Lady Red Elephants, Jay Maldonado had 22 kills, 22 digs, two assists and an ace, while Makenzy Butler had three kills, two digs and a block.
Gainesville’s Kerrigan Gruhn finished with 14 kills, 17 digs and two aces, while Avery Lindsey chipped in 18 assists, four digs and an ace.
Margaret Embry added 20 digs and three assists for the Lady Red Elephants, while Hannah Stewart finished with four kills, two blocks and a dig.

CHEROKEE BLUFF SWEEPS QUAD-MATCH: GB Cornett had 16 assists, seven aces, six kills, six digs and a pair of blocks for the Lady Bears in wins against Habersham Central (25-23, 23-25, 15-8), Banks County (25-16, 25-11) and Rabun County (25-7, 25-15) on Thursday. Also for Cherokee Bluff, Sage Sutulovich chipped in 23 kills, four digs, three aces and a pair of blocks, while Madelyn Levine had 23 assists, six digs and three aces.
Emma Staples finished with 16 kills, 10 aces and eight digs for the Lady Bears, while Abbi Hutchins had 20 digs and nine aces.
Olivia Owens had seven blocks, three kills and three digs, and Sierra Piland had nine blocks and a pair of kills for Cherokee Bluff.
Also for the Lady Bears, Brandyn Peterson had five blocks and a kill.
