Most players scoff at the idea of carrying an extra racket to the court. Somehow that conveys the image of "hot shot".
Serious competitors, however, know better. They know that extra racket is indispensable. They’re never without that second (or even third) stick because they’ve been frustrated more than once with their favorite racket broke a string or even cracked during an important match.
Who wants to go searching around for a "loaner" racket during a crucial tie breaker?
As players compete regularly and demand more from themselves and their equipment, they realize that the extra racquet is not a luxury but a necessity.
It’s especially important if teammates are counting on you.
