High school wrestling: North Hall takes down Jackson County in Class 3A semifinals to advance to championship vs. Sonoraville

For the third straight year, the North Hall wrestling team will make an appearance in the Class 3A championship bout. The Trojans took down Jackson County 48-24 in the semifinals Friday evening in Macon, and will now advance to battle with Sonoraville for a 3A title on Saturday at 3 p.m.

North Hall picked up wins from Seth Carlton (220 lbs), Bowie Eisenberg (285 lbs), Dawson Thompson (106 lbs), Christian Contreras (113 lbs), Jacob Pedraza (120 lbs), Damon Cambell (132 lbs), Jack Whitmire (138 lbs), Dalton Battle (152 lbs) and Hunter Adams (170 lbs).

In other Hall County action, Flowery Branch took down Columbus Friday morning in the Class 4A consolation bracket 49-28. The Falcons were then defeated 41-33 by Cartersville to end their weekend in Macon. 

Gainesville fell 50-18 to Sequoyah in its consolation match.
