Scoreboard: North Hall football team shuts out Fannin County, 13-0, for first win of the season

Nate Nixon and Peyton Mavity each scored a touchdown in North Hall’s first win of the season, defeating Fannin County 13-0 on Friday in Gainesville. Noah Holman had two interceptions for the Trojans’ (1-4) defense, while Jack Brown finished the night with 92 yards in rushing,

North Hall visits Dawson County on Friday in Dawsonville.

CHESTATEE 41, HABERSHAM CENTRAL 37: Nick Lyles rushed for 292 yards and posted four touchdowns in Chestatee’s comeback win against Habersham Central on Friday in Mount Airy. The War Eagles were down 30-14 at halftime. Storm Yarbrough totaled 138 yards with one touchdown for Chestatee (4-2) while teammate Seth Presley finished the night with 83 receiving yards and a touchdown. Jacob Goodall added a 75 yard kick return for the War Eagles.

Chestatee next visits West Hall on Oct. 6 in Oakwood.

LANIER CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 6, ANDERSON CHRISTIAN (S.C.) 0: Joshua Gearing had an interception return for a touchdown with less than a minute to go for the Lightning on Friday in Anderson, S.C. Jeremiah Bonds put the Cavaliers away by getting an interception with just 20 seconds left to go in the game. Aubrey Carlan had two tackles for the Lighting defense.

Lanier Christian Academy visits East Atlanta on Friday in Conyers.

WHITE COUNTY 45, DAWSON COUNTY 42: White County’s quarterback J. Ben Haynes totaled 223 yards with three touchdowns Friday night in Cleveland. Kaleb Crane racked up 225 yards on the ground while adding three touchdowns for the Warriors while teammate Austin Rowland had 88 yards in receiving with two touchdowns. 

White County visits Blessed Trinity on Oct. 6 in Roswell.
