Resop shines in rehab start

Chris Resop threw five hitless innings with six strikeouts to lead the Gwinnett Braves to a 6-3 win over the Rochester Red Wings on Tuesday at Coolray Field.

Resop, who was recently was sent to Gwinnett after suffering an injury with the Atlanta Braves, had just two walks and lowered his ERA to 1.72. Beachy came on in relief and allowed three runs, while striking out six.

Gwinnett plays host to Rochester at 7:05 tonight.
