The Gwinnett Braves won their second straight game, dropping the Rochester Red Wings 5-1 on Sunday in Rochester, N.Y.
The G-Braves (16-13) broke loose with four runs in the top of the third inning, spurred by a bases-loaded triple from shortstop Brandon Hicks.
Gwinnett starter Todd Redmond (1-3) earned his first win of the season, yielding one run on four hits in 5 1/3 innings. Anthony Vavaro struck out four and surrender two hits while earning the three-inning save.
The G-Braves open a four-game series at Pawtuckett on Monday. First pitch is set for 6:15 p.m.
