Gwinnett Braves starting pitcher Chris Resop allowed four runs and seven hits over three innings in a 9-3 loss to the Toledo Mud Hens on Sunday at Coolray Field. With the loss, the G-Braves (51-57) dropped to 17 games behind the league leading Durham Bulls in the International League’s Southern Division.
Nate McLouth, on a rehab stint with the Atlanta Braves, drove in two runs on a fielder’s choice and a sacrifice fly. Shortstop Diory Hernandez extended his on base streak to 27 games by reaching on a fielder’s choice. It’s the longest current streak in the International League.
Left fielder Joe Thurston finished the game with two hits for the G-Braves.
Gwinnett plays host to Toledo at 7 p.m. tonight at Coolray Field.
