The Triple-A Gwinnett Braves could only muster three hits and could not score enough runs to back the pitching of Todd Redmond, who gave the club 5 2/3 solid innings in a 3-1 loss to the Charlotte Knights on Saturday in Fort Mill, S.C. Charlotte broke a scoreless tie with a run in the bottom of the third off of Redmond. Right fielder Greg Golson lined a one-out single to center, stole second base and scored on a single by shortstop Ray Olmedo. The Knights added another run in the bottom of the fourth as Conor Jackson reached on a one-out single and scored from first on a double to right-center field by catcher Josh Phegley.
