G-Braves lose game, possibly shortstop

The Pawtucket Red Sox scored a pair of runs in the top of the second inning to take a lead that the Gwinnett Braves never threatened, as they dropped a 5-0 decision Sunday in Lawrenceville.

The G-Braves managed just two hits, and shortshop Tyler Pastornicky, one of the team’s hottest hitters since being called up from Double-A, left the game in the sixth inning with an apparent injury to his right leg.

Yohan Flande took the loss for Gwinnett, which remains 1.5 games behind Durham in the International League South, and 1.5 games behind Lehigh Valley in the wild-card race.
