The Gwinnett Braves lost to Rochester 3-2 on Thursday to Rochester on the road.
Anthony Salma (1-1) picked up the win for Rochester, pitching five 1/3 innings and giving up two runs. Relief pitcher Anthony Varvaro (0-4) picked up the loss, giving up a run in the bottom of the ninth.
Rochester withstood a solid effort from starter Mike Minor, who went seven innings, giving up two runs while striking out six.
Mauro Gomez led the G-Braves, going 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs.
Gwinnett and Rochester play again tonight at 7:05 p.m.
