The North Georgia College & State University women’s basketball team opened its home schedule with a 73-66 win against Mars Hill on Monday in Dahlonega.
Syretha Marble led the Lady Saints (2-1) with 32 points. Stephanie Brownlee added 13 points and Meredith Mongomery and Danielle Seeley each had 10 points.
Despite being down by eight points at half time, North Georgia used a second-half surge to win the game, with runs of 10-5 and 10-0 in the third and fourth quarter.
North Georgia plays host to West Alabama and West Georgia in the Thanksgiving Holiday Classic, starting at 4 p.m. Friday and continuing at 6 p.m. Saturday.
