Morgan Nix shot a blistering 5-under par 67 in the final round of the 2014 Gainesville City Championship on Sunday at Chattahoochee Golf Course to finish the tournament with a 7-stroke victory.
Nix's scorecard was flawless with 5 birdies and 13 pars. He led the tournament from start to finish.
Jackson Bishop took second place with a final round 73 to finish the 54 holes at 2-over par 218. Defending champion Stuart Moore closed with a 73 (221) to finish in third place.
The Championship B Flight was won by Parks Brown with 227. Brown was 2 shots clear of second place Hunter Young, who shot 229. Finishing third in the B Flight was Webber Wycoff with 233.
Ricky Brown was the Championship Flight Net champion with a 54-hole total of 217.
John Yarger posted a second round 72 to run away with first flight honors. Scott Head finished 2nd (163) and Jeff Sanford was 3rd (167). Scott Head was the net winner in the first flight with 147.
In the second flight, Jeff Stowe overcame a 1-shot deficit to take the first place prize. Jeff posted a second round 78 (163) and was 2 shots ahead of Ed Waller, who finished 2nd at 165. In third place was Fred Reed at 188. Ed Waller was the second flight net winner at 137.
