The Chattahoochee Ladies’ Golf Association played a low-gross, low-new event Tuesday at the Chattahoochee Golf Club.

In flight one, Mona White was the low-gross winner, while first place in low-net finished in a tie between Ann White and Ann Hollobaugh.

Flight two saw Carolyn Palmer win low gross, while Alice Paris took first place in low net.

Closest to the pin winners were Violet Reynolds on No. 3 and Joan Hogan on No. 17.

CMGA: The Chattahoochee Men’s Golf Association played the monthly individual flighted strokes game Wednesday at the Chattahoochee Golf Club.

In the white tee flight, Larry Cohan took first place and Don Wells came in second. Bill Sutton grabbed third place with the Doug Van, Gene Weschler and Jack Costello finishing in a tie for fourth.

Bob Henderson took first place in the gold tee first flight with A.J. Kiker taking second.

Third place went to Leroy Harper and Marty Anderson finished in fourth.

The gold tee second flight was won by Roy Lyle with Ben Brooks taking second. Dave Gleason shot well enough for third place and Harry Barnett finished in fourth.

In the gold tee third flight, Ralph Prescott took first place while second place went to J.B. Johnston.

Greg Taira, Bud Clegg and Nick Grillo finished in a tie for third place.

Closest to the pin winners were Stu Virgin on No. 3, Joe Kolesar on No. 5, Costello on No. 12 and Lyle on No. 17.

DOGFIGHT: The Wednesday Dogfight occurred at Chicopee Woods Golf Course this week.

Terry Clegg, Glenn Whitmire and Bob Arendt teamed up for first place with a 20-under par score.

The team of Roger Stapp, Lou Vega and Keith Fitzgerald shot a 19-under par for second place.

Fitzgerald won the individual event with a 64 while Arendt took second with a 66. Clegg finished in third with a 67 and fourth place went to Tommy Calhoun with a 68.

Whitmire and Don Schrum tied four fifth with a 69. Closest to the pin winners were Mike Tilson, Fitzgerald, Calhoun and Karl Steigele.

LUNA: The Luna’s Tuesday golf group played at the Chattahoochee Golf Club this week.

First place went to the team of Jeff Sanford, Nelson Wright, Johnny Nix and Jerry Ward.

Donnie Smith, Tom Sexton, Gene Cobb and Jim Cornett teamed up for second place while the team of Gene Weschler, Cleve Brown, Doug Van and Frank House finished in third.

Closest to the pin winners were Ward (No. 3), Sanford (No. 5), Sexton (No. 12) and Steven Hill (No. 17).

DPG: The DPG played matches on Monday, Wednesday and Friday this week at Chicopee Woods Golf Course.

On Monday, Martha Shell tied with James Roberts for first place with a score of +6. Dave Jetter was third with a +1.

Wednesday’s individual match finished in a tie for first place between Jetter and Terrence Dale with a +7.

Jetter and Charley Kilby took first place in the team event with a +12. Dale and Jerry Shell placed second with a score of +10.

Friday, Doug Padgett won first place with a score of +4 while Kilby and Jerry Shell tied for second with a +3.
