Local golf: Chattahoochee group outing ends tied

The Chattahoochee Men’s Golf Association played a two best ball, aggregated net points game Wednesday at Chattahoochee Golf Course.

First place finished in a tie between the team of Greg Taira, J.B. Johnston, Clay Bartlett and Jim Hesser and the team of Lua Blankenship, Ben Brooks, Warren Jahn and John T. Smith.

Closest to the pin winner were Weschler (No. 3), Jewett (No. 5), Cox (No. 12) and Wayne Nelson (No. 17).

The Luna’s Tuesday golf group played this week at Royal Lakes Golf Course.

First place went to the team of Richard Strickland, Anthony Barrett, Jack Barrett and Ken Chahoy. Second place went to the team of Gene Weschler, Sam McGee, Tommy Lowery and Doug Van.

Closest to the pin winners Royce Deaton (No. 8), Norm Nichols (No. 14), Rob Emerson (No. 14) and Smith (No. 16).

The Chattahoochee Ladies Golf Association played a low gross, low net game Tuesday at Chattahoochee Golf Course.

In the first flight, Mona White won the low gross and Ann White won the low net. The second flight low gross finished in a tie between Terry Maginnis and Sue Cronmiller. Maginnis won the low net.

Closest to the pin winners were Maginnis (No. 3) and Beulah Land (No. 17).

The Wednesday Dogfight Golf Group played this week at Chicopee Woods Golf Course.

First place went to the team of Greg Lee, Don Schrum, Larry Miller and Gary Mott. Second place went to the team of Allan Kellogg, Tommy Calhoun, Mike Tilson and Wayne Strickland.

Miller and Tilson tied for first individually. Chris Porter finished third.
