Jurrjens struggles in 2nd rehab start

Jair Jurrjens gave up two runs on eight hits in his second rehab appearance, and the Gwinnett Braves were shutout for the third straight game Saturday night at Coolray Field.

Behind a strong start from Matt Chico, who had four strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings, the Syracuse Chiefs defeated the G-Braves 2-0 in the fifth game of a six-game series.

The Chiefs scored both runs in the top of the second on a two-run home run from Chris Duncan.

Jurrjens had four strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.

The Gwinnett Braves play host to Syracuse at 2:05 p.m. today.
