The Jefferson USA Wrestling team won the Annual New Year’s Classic last Saturday at Jefferson High.

The Dragons scored 84 points to defeat 50 other teams from four different states to earn the title. Over 400 grapplers participated in the event. Ethan Garner, Kyle Springer, Josh Harris, Caleb King, Ty Finch and Jace McColskey each won individual titles for Jefferson. Team Walton finished second with 60 points. West Forsyth finished third (42 points), West Laurens Raider Storm finished fourth (32) and Commerce finished fifth (28).
