West Hall High senior Marquise Stephens recently signed a letter of intent to play football at Mississippi Delta Community College in Moorhead, Mississippi.

Stephens helped the Spartans finish 5-5 in 2008, their best season since 2003. The versatile 6-2, 210-pound running back and defensive back rushed for 673 yards and had seven touchdowns while catching 49 passes for 552 yards and four touchdowns in West Hall’s spread-option offense.

Stephens was a two-time Times 2008 All-Area second team selection during his junior and senior year.
