White County senior pitcher David Sosebee (10-1, 0.61 ERA) was named the Pitcher of the Year when the All-Region 8-AAA team was released by coaches on Thursday.

He was also drafted in the 48th round by the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday.

Gainesville sophomore catcher Skyler Weber (.443 average, 8 HR) was tabbed as the Hitter of the Year. North Hall's Trent Mongero was named the Coach of the Year.
