The Banks County High baseball team swept Union County 12-4 and 11-3 in a doubleheader on Thursday night in Homer.
In game one, Alex Gailey led the Leopards (12-7, 9-4) at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a run scored and three RBIs. Jeff Smith, Chris Porter and Kyle Smith each went 2-for-3 and Justin Gibbs was 2-for-4 with a run scored for Banks County.
Smith picked up the win for Banks County with four strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings pitched.
Gailey led the Leopards again in game two, going 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and four RBIs.
Tyler Hulsey was 3-for-3 with a run scored, Bill Redmon hit a home run with two runs scored and two RBIs and Zack Dale hit a double with three RBIs.
Chris Porter picked up the win in relief for Banks County.
Banks County visits Rabun County at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Lumpkin County 312, White County 351
Everett Huntsinger was the low medallist of the match with 75 for Lumpkin County on Thursday at Achasta Golf Course in Dahlonega.
Adam Despres shot a 77, Aaron George shot a 78 and Cody Fleming carded an 82 for the Indians.
John Luna led the Warriors with a 77.
Lumpkin County and White County will meet again at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Mossy Creek Golf Course in Cleveland.
