Lumpkin County defeated Marist 4-3 and 4-2 in the second round of the Class AAAA state tournament on Wednesday in Atlanta, securing a spot in Columbus for the first time in 10 years. The Lady Indians scored four runs in the first inning of Game 2 to get the win. Ashley Brown picked up the win from the pitching circle in both games and had an RBI in the first game.
