Zach Winter (138 pounds), Grant Simonds (182) and Devante King (195) all won area titles to lead Flowery Branch to a top finish in the Area 8-AAAAA Traditional wrestling tournament Saturday in Flowery Branch. The Falcons, who finished with 200.5 points, qualified 11 wrestlers for the state sectionals tournament starting Friday at Loganville, including second place finishers Ben Horton (126), Anthony Williams (170) and R.J. Deyton (285), third-place finishers Ronny Couch (113), Nolan Alspach (120), Brady Dyer (145) and Quinton Newman (160), and fourth place finisher Daniel Boddie (132). BANKS COUNTY WINS AREA 4-AAA: The Leopards recorded 208 points to hold off Oconee County (196 points) and win the Area 4-AAA Traditional tournament Saturday in Elberton.
