The Flowery Branch girls tennis team advanced to the state quarterfinals for the first time in school history, after sweeping North Paulding 5-0 in the second round of the Class AAAA state tournament on Tuesday in South Hall. The Lady Falcons will play the Johns Creek/Kell winner in the third round. Time and date for the match is still to be determined.
