The Buford volleyball team collected wins against Milton 26-28, 25-22, 25-23 and South Forsyth 25-18. 25-20 Monday night in Cumming.

The Lady Wolves were led by Maggie Roper, who tallied 26 kills and 23 digs.

Jessica Falletta had 11 kills and 15 digs to go along with Bailey Hicks' 34 assists for Buford.

The Lady Wolves (16-10) travel to Dacula to play Yeshiva and Hebron Christian at 5 p.m. today.

LADY FALCONS LOSE IN FINALS: Flowery Branch hosted The Battle at The Branch on Saturday and stayed undefeated unitl the Gold Championship Bracket finals, losing to George Walton in their second match-up of the day 19-25, 22-25.

The Lady Falcons beat Jackson County 25-19, 25-13, Chestatee 25-14, 25-19, Hart County 25-23, 25-17 and George Walton 12-25,27-25,15-11 in their first match.

Kenzie Grewett gave Flowery Branch 55 assists and nine kills on the day, while Brittani Hill added 24 kills for the tournament.

Flowery Branch (17-14 6-2 Area 8-AAAA) plays at 6 p.m. tonight in Loganville against the host Lady Red Devils and South Gwinnett.

JEFFERSON DEFEATED IN SEMIS: Jefferson competed in the Ampest Spikefest in Conyers last weekend, losing to Greenbrier in the semi-finals 25-23, 24-26, 15-9.

For the tournament, Lady Dragon Amanda Daniel had five aces, 26 kills, 119 assists, three blocks and six digs.

Cassie Metcalf added 14 aces, 36 kills and seven digs, while Taylor Cramsey had two aces, 48 kills and six blocks for Jefferson.

The Lady Dragons (23-7, 4-0 Area 8-AA) host a quad match with Tallulah Falls, Lakeview Academy and Morgan County at 5 p.m. today.

Softball

NORTH HALL 5, LANIER 4: Courtney Gearin not only pitched the entire game, but she had a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh with two outs for the Lady Trojans on Monday.

Carly DeLong and Whitney Swing had a hit an an RBI for North Hall.

The Lady Trojans (10-16, 2-7 Region 8-AAA) play at 5:30 p.m. tonight at Gainesville.
