The No.1-ranked Buford softball team traveled to East Coweta High on Tuesday and came away with a 6-0 victory to move their record to 10-1 on the season.

Melissa Dickie earned the win on the mound, throwing four innings, while striking out five and giving up one walk and one hit. Senior Karly Fullem came in to pitch the remaining three innings, striking out two and giving up a hit to earn the save over Class AAAAA’s East Coweta.

Fullem also hit a three-run home run in the top of the first inning and ended up 2-for-4 on the night with three RBIs.

Codi Ricketson (3-for-4) and Aly Hicks (2-for-4) each had multi-hit nights.  The matchup was originally scheduled to take place as a doubleheader at Georgia Perimeter College, but due to a scheduling conflict was changed to an away game for the Lady Wolves.

Kallie Case had a hit, two runs scored and three stolen bases for Buford who plays North Gwinnett at 5:55 p.m. today in Suwanee.
