The Lakeview Academy boys basketball team defeated host Chattanooga Christian 66-40 in a Saturday game in Tennessee.

Tae Turner scored 11 points to pace the Lions, with Drew Cottrell and Carter Reeves adding 10 each.

Lakeview (1-0) takes on Alcovy at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the Piedmont College Hardwood Classic in Demorest.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 38, CHATTANOOGA CHRISTIAN 35: The Lady Lions earned the road win in Tennessee on Saturday, led by Hanna Grogan’s 20 points.

Schyler Miller added six points and Katie Gay pitched in five for Lakeview in its opener.

The Lions (1-0) play Alcovy at 4 p.m. Monday in the Piedmont College Hardwood Classic.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 68, RIVERWOOD 45: Breanna Locke scored 18 points as the Lady Falcons won their opener.

Lexie Sengkhammee added 15 and Taniyah Worth pitched in 14 for Flowery Branch, which got 11 rebounds from Julianne Sutton.

The Falcons (1-0) play at Jefferson at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

DULUTH BOYS 65, FLOWERY BRANCH 44: The Falcons opened the season with a loss in the North Forsyth tournament on Saturday.

Hunter Konuszewski paced Flowery Branch with 12 points, and Taylor Bourdage added 10.

Flowery Branch plays its next game at 2 p.m. Monday at North Forsyth High.

BOOKER T. WASHINGTON BOYS 43, CHESTATEE 37: Jordan Pulliam led the War Eagles with 17 points Saturday.

Chestatee faces Douglas at 6 p.m. Monday.

COLLINS HILL GIRLS 49, CHESTATEE 34: The Lady War Eagles fell to 0-2 on Saturday.

Kayla Watson’s 13 points paced Chestatee, with Macey Jarrard and Dawndria Bell pitching in seven apiece and Eramiss Hernandez scoring five points.

The War Eagles face Peachtree Ridge at 4 p.m. Monday at Jefferson.
