Lucas Pain scored a game-high 24 points and Jackson Putnam added 19, leading Dawson County’s boys to a 70-59 victory over White County on Wednesday in Dawsonville. Levi Whitmire (13 points) and Cameron Millholland (12) were also in double figures for the Tigers.
Dawson County (16-4, 7-2 Region 7-AAA) led 30-28 at halftime, before outscoring the Warriors 18-8 in the third period and carrying a 12-point lead into the fourth quarter.
Spencer Adams led White County with 20 points, while Jordan Egerton added 12.
Dawson County travels to East Hall on Friday in Gainesville.
DAWSON COUNTY GIRLS 50, WHITE COUNTY 47: Junior Sheyenne Seabolt scored 17 points and went over 1,000 career points in Dawsonville. Also in double figures scoring for the Lady Tigers (14-6, 5-4), Ashley Parker finished with 12 points, while Karlie Bearden put up 11.
Abbey Craven paced White County (14-5, 5-4 Region 7-AAA) with 17 points, Kaitlyn Gearing added 13, and Jordan Taylor finished with 10.
White County hosts North Hall on Friday in Cleveland.
LANIER BOYS 50, LUMPKIN COUNTY 48: Malik Anderson hit four 3 pointers and finished with a game-high 12 for the Indians on Wednesday in Dahlonega. Johnny Gilreath scored 11 for Lumpkin County, while Evan Bafile finished with 10. Lumpkin County (11-9, 2-3 Region 8-AAAA) faces Stephens County on Friday in Dahlonega.
