Banks County’s Austin Venable scored his 1,000th career point as the Leopards defeated West Hall 76-48 on Friday in Homer.

Venable finished the game with 29 points and 15 rebounds. Kamal Wiley added 10 points and eight rebounds for Banks County (16-3, 5-1 Region 7-AAA).

The Leopards visit Fannin County today in Blue Ridge.

BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 53, WEST HALL 49: Kaitlyn Duncan fueled the Lady Leopards with 22 points on Friday in Homer.

Paige Mathis added nine points for Banks County (17-2, 5-1 Region 7-AAA), and Allison Smith had eight.

The Lady Leopards visit Fannin County today in Blue Ridge.

JOHNSON BOYS 73, WHITE COUNTY 60: Ty Cockfield racked up 34 points for the Knights on Friday.

Roderick English notched 19 points and seven rebounds for Johnson, and Andrew Sims scored six points and pulled down 13 rebounds.

For White County, Whit Mauney had 20 points, and Bradley Hurst added 18.

MADISON COUNTY GIRLS 56, CHESTATEE 50: Tyler Bennett notched 21 points for the Lady War Eagles on Friday.

Lindsey Caudell added 10 points for Chestatee (11-8, 1-2 Region 8-AAAA), which visits West Hall today in Oakwood.

MADISON COUNTY BOYS 55, CHESTATEE 51: Hunter Creamer’s 21 points powered the War Eagles on Friday.

Caleb Jameson scored 11 points for Chestatee (10-9, 2-1 Region 8-AAAA), and Jordan Pulliam added 10.

The War Eagles visit West Hall today in Oakwood.

RIVERSIDE MILITARY 65, SOCIAL CIRCLE 60: Freshman Griffin Sewell led the Eagles with 19 points on Friday.

Avery Cagle added 17 points for Riverside Military (5-8, 1-4 Region 7-AAA), and J.J. McCalston scored 10 points.

The Eagles visit Washington-Wilkes today in Washington.

CHRIST SCHOOL (N.C.) BOYS 61, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 49: Tae Turner tallied 17 points for the Lions on Friday in Arden, N.C.

Drew Cottrell added 10 points for Lakeview Academy (11-6, 5-1 Region 8-A), which visits Towns County today in Hiawassee.

LUMPKIN COUNTY BOYS 66, FRANKLIN COUNTY 55: Jack Howard led Lumpkin County with 26 points on Friday.

Brandon Zarate tallied 14 points for the Indians, and Zach Pulley and Matt Satterfield each had 10.
