High School Scoreboard: Flowery Branch girls basketball team tops No. 1 Winder-Barrow

Flowery Branch’s Julianne Sutton had 12 points in a 55-46 win against the No. 1 team of the Class AAAAAA, Winder-Barrow on Monday.

Teammate Taniyah Worth added a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Falcons (2-0). Lexie Sengkhammee scored 10 points for Flowery Branch.

Flowery Branch plays at 7 p.m. today in the Jefferson Tabo Tip-off against the winner of the Jefferson-Loganville game.

CHESTATEE 57, HABERSHAM CENTRAL 55: Chestatee’s Lindsey Caudell scored a team-high 35 points, including the final two free throws late in the fourth quarter to lift the Lady War Eagles to their third-straight win on Monday. Teammate Brooklyn Popham added 11 points for the Lady War Eagles.
Chestatee (3-0) plays Decatur at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Salem.

CHESTATEE 68, HABERSHAM CENTRAL 31: Cameron Gwyn scored 16 points, and the War Eagles boys team captured their second win of the season against Habersham Central.
Cooper Wilson and Donovan Hernandez had 14 points apiece for the War Eagles.
Chestatee (2-2) plays Flowery Branch in Flowery Branch for a non-region matchup at 7:30 p.m. tonight.

DAWSON COUNTY 54, NORTHVIEW 32: Joseph Cronin paced the Tigers with 20 points in Monday’s win against Northview at North Forsyth. Cullen Reed posted a double-double with 11 points, 11 rebounds, and added six assists for the Tigers (2-1). Ryan Gallenkamp chipped in nine points and 10 rebounds for the Tigers.
Dawson County plays St, Pius at 2 p.m. today in the Progressive Lighting Thanksgiving Tournament at North Forsyth.

NORTH HALL 69, FRANKLIN COUNTY 47: Evan Easton had 17 points to lead the Trojans past Franklin County for their first win of the season. Taylor Hanson added 15 points.
Franklin County’s Will South had 11 for the night.
North Hall (1-1) plays Providence Christian at 7:30 p.m., today in Cleveland.

NORTH HALL, 53 FRANKLIN COUNTY 49: Sadie Cleveland finished two boards shy of a double-double with 24 points and eight rebounds for the Lady Trojans against Franklin County.
North Hall (1-1) girls play Providence Christian 6 p.m. today Lilburn.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 68, LUMPKIN COUNTY 52: Lakeview Academy’s Drew Cottrell scored 22 points, while Tre Gober wasn’t far behind with 14 points in the Lions’ second victory of the season. Carter Reeves scored nine points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Lions. Ryan Lackey finished the night with 10 assists for Lakeview Academy.
Lakeview Academy (2-0) plays in the Piedmont Classic Championship game at 8:30 p.m. today against the winner of Rabun County or East Hall at Piedmont College.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 73, LUMPKIN COUNTY 56: Hannah Grogan was the leading scorer for Lakeview with 34 points. Christen Copeland and Ryan Moody had nine points apiece for the Lady Lions.
Lakeview Academy (2-1) will play the winner of Rabun County-East Hall in the Piedmont Classic Basketball Tournament Championship at 7 p.m. tonight at Piedmont College.

BUFORD 66, GREATER ATLANTA CHRISTIAN 57: Marcus Watson scored 20 points against Greater Atlanta Christian, while David Viti had 16 points for the Wolves (2-0) against the Spartans.
Buford will participate in the Jefferson Tabo Tip-off Championship game at 8:30 p.m. tonight at Jefferson, opponent pending.
