Gainesville opened the season with a 10-0 win against Shiloh in five innings on Thursday at Ivey-Watson Field in Gainesville. Michael Gettys pitched all five innings for the Red Elephants (1-0), allowing just one hit and striking out 10. He also added an RBI and recorded three stolen bases.
