Lakeview boys defeat Riverside, 77-52

Austin Montgomery scored a game-high 16 points, while Joel Larsen and John Cox added 12 for the Lakeview Academy boys in a 77-52 win against Riverside Military on Saturday in Gainesville. Zach Montgomery had 10 points for the Lions (16-6).

Lakeview built a 21-8 lead through the first quarter, then extended the advantage to 45-17 by halftime.

Adrian Humphrey led the Eagles with 14 points.

On Tuesday, Lakeview Academy hosts Pinecrest Academy, the final regular-season home game for retiring Lions coach Seth Vining.

EAST HALL GIRLS 53, FLOWERY BRANCH 51: Lady Vikings senior Latisha Shelton sank a shot at the buzzer to grab the upset win Saturday in Flowery Branch.

Jatasia Bailey led East Hall with 17 points, and Tavia Sykes led Flowery Branch with 15.

FLOWERY BRANCH BOYS 67, EAST HALL 51: Cody Dewing scored 22 for the Falcons and Jamaad Stephens chipped in 21 on Saturday. Nick Wayne finished with 10 points for Flowery Branch.

Flowery Branch plays host to Heritage at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

NORTH HALL BOYS 61, JEFFERSON 51: Adam Kelly finished with a game-high 25 points and was 7 of 10 on field goal attempts on Saturday in Jefferson. Ebo Smith finished with 14 points for the Trojans (21-2), while Griffin Olson had 13.

Jushua Kidd led Jefferson with 18 points and Jake Franklin added 11.

North Hall visits Dawson County on Tuesday in Dawsonville.

BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 42, OCONEE COUNTY 38: Taylor Kennedy had 15 points to lead the Lady Leopards to a win Saturday at Philips Arena in Atlanta.

Banks County (15-8) plays West Hall at 6 p.m. Monday in Oakwood.

PACE ACADEMY GIRLS 44, WEST HALL 29: Kaelyn Gattis scored 14 points and hit all six shots from the free throw for the Lady Spartans (9-13) line on Saturday in Oakwood. West Hall plays host to Banks County at 6 p.m. Monday.

LUMPKIN COUNTY BOYS 46, WALNUT GROVE 45 (FRIDAY): Evan Gaddis led the Indians with nine points on Friday in Dahlonega.

Daniel McCrary added nine for Lumpkin County (4-21, 1-6 Region 8-AAAA).
