Despite playing to a tie at the half, the Dawson County girls basketball team was outscored by 30 points in the second half and fell 76-46 on Saturday at Towns County.
The Lady Tigers (4-3) made just 1 of 12 shots in the fourth quarter, while Towns County went for 52 points in the second half.
Dawson County was led by Sheyenne Seabolt (14 points) and Carly Gilreath (13 points, three blocked shots). Allie Costley added 12 points and five rebounds in the game.
the Lady Tigers will play next Tuesday at Gilmer.
BANKS COUNTY BOYS 58, JACKSON COUNTY 54, 2OT: The Leopards (4-3) survived in double-overtime on Saturday, notching a four-point win over Jackson County.
Taylor Foster led the way for Banks County with 24 points in the game.
The Leopards will face Stephens County next Tuesday at Toccoa Falls College.
