FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 73 JOHNSON GIRLS 6: Three starters scored in double figures for the top-ranked Lady Falcons (7-1, 1-0 Region 8-AAAAA) in their Region 8-AAAAA opener. Julianne Sutton led with 14 points, while Taniyah Worth scored 13 points, followed by Ashley Woodroffe with 12.

FLOWERY BRANCH BOYS 57 JOHNSON BOYS 35: Justin Quick paced the Falcons with 20 points against the visiting Knight in their Region 8-AAAAA opener. John Mills added 14 points, while Brannon Clark put up 10 points for the Falcons (6-0, 1-0 Region 8-AAAAA).

EAST HALL GIRLS 52, LUMPKIN COUNTY GIRLS 38: Carly Winters led the Lady Vikings (3-3, 1-0 Region 7-AAA) with 22 points, while Kylah Mize finished with 16 points.

RABUN COUNTY GIRLS 80, DAWSON COUNTY GIRLS 71: Kaylee Sticker scored 20 points in a loss to Rabun County. Anna Lowe was not far behind Sticker with 13 points for the Lady Tigers (1-6).
Dawson County plays Greater Atlanta Christian at 6 p.m. on Thursday in Atlanta.
RABUN COUNTY BOYS 59, DAWSON COUNTY BOYS 57: Bailey Fisher scored the go-ahead basket with seven seconds remaining to lift the Wildcats to their third win of the season. The Tigers (3-4) had an opportunity to send it to overtime but their final attempt rolled off the rim right before the final buzzer.
Cullen Reed finished the night with 20 points, while Ryan Gallenkamp added a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds for Dawson County. Joseph Cronan and Jeremiah Crumley chipped in 10 points apiece for the Tigers.
Braxton Hicks led Rabun County with 12 points. Tevan Dixon and Kasin Old both added 11 for the Wildcats.

BUFORD GIRLS 78, CEDAR SHOALS 41: Tory Ozment and Rachel Dobbs put up 17 points apiece in the Lady Wolves’ (3-0, 1-0 Region-AAAAA) region opener in Athens. Audrey Weiner was another to amass double figures with 11 points.
