Buford’s softball team defeated Starrs Mill 9-1 to advance to the second round of the Champions Bracket in the Class AAAAA playoffs in Columbus on Thursday. The Lady Wolves play Walnut Grove at 9 a.m. today. Buford’s Logan Caymol threw 10 strike-outs and only allowed three hits in the win.
