The North Hall boys cross country team, state runners-up in Class AAA last season, opened 2012 with a first place finish in the championship race at the Northeast Georgia Championships on Saturday at Athens Christian. North Hall’s Witt Nix (16 minutes 20 seconds) led the Trojans with a third place finish, Tucker LoCicero (16:21) finished fourth and Bryce Schuebert (16:23) fifth. Zack Hill (16:52) finished 10th and Luis Galban rounded out the top five for North Hall, coming in 25th.
