In a game shortened because of time, the Buford High softball team beat Dacula 5-1 in six innings Wednesday night at the Hawk/Bulldog Invitational at the West Jackson Park in Hoschton.

Buford (1-1) was led in the pitching circle by winning pitcher Tessa Daniel. She recorded four strike outs and allowed four hits.

Offensively for the Lady Wolves, Lexi Overstreet had a double and an RBI. Daniel and Kallie Case each went 1 for 3 with a double.

Buford faces Mountain View at 4 p.m. Friday in the Hawk/Bulldog Invitational at West Jackson Park in Hoschton.

PEACHTREE RIDGE 4, JACKSON COUNTY 3: Lady Panther Mason Garland had a triple, single and one RBI Wednesday in the Hawk/Bulldog Invitational opener at the West Jackson Park in Hoschton.

Jackson County (1-1, 1-0 Region 8-AA) pitcher Kortnee Satterfield pitched the entire game, allowing four earned runs and had two strike outs.

The Lady Panthers face Grayson at 5 p.m. tonight in the Hawk/Bulldog Invitational at West Jackson Park.

WALNUT GROVE 8, WHITE COUNTY 0: The Warriors had three hits but were unable to put any runs on the board on Tuesday.

The Lady Warriors face Chestatee at 5:55 p.m. today in Gainesville.
