High school basketball: Lanier Christian Academy girls beat Central Fellowship Christian to earn spot in GAPPS championship game for third consecutive year

The Lanier Christian Academy girls basketball team is headed to a state championship game for the third year running. 

Faith Wasden led the Lady Lightning with a 16-point, 11-rebound double-double, as Lanier Christian moved past Central Fellowship Christian 39-32 to once again earn a spot in the GAPPS title game. The Lady Lightning will advance to take on Westminster Christian Academy for the championship on Saturday at 5 p.m. at First Presbyterian Day School in Macon.

Adding to Wasden's effort, Lexie Robertson scored 12 points and grabbed four boards, while Reese Montgomery contributed 6 points and seven rebounds.
