The Georgia High School Association basketball state tournament will begin Friday, Feb. 21 for girls and Saturday, Feb. 22 boys in Classes AA-AAAAAA, the GHSA announced Friday. A winter storm that brought ice and snow to North Georgia this week forced the association to postpone the state tournament twice in order to allow teams to complete their region tournaments. The state tournament was originally scheduled to begin Feb. 18.
