Gainesville High senior Elie Nwefo was honored at the annual University of Georgia’s chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. The defensive back recorded 127 tackles, one interception and three pass breakups for the Red Elephants last season. Each spring, the Georgia National Football Foundation chapter presents awards to five scholar athletes from the region.
