Gainesville players headline 7-AAA All-Region team

Selections for the Region 7-AAA All-Region team as selected by coaches were released Friday.

Two Gainesville players were honored with player of the year, with Jaymee Carnes earning the recognition for the girls and George Manomano for the boys.

Area first-team selections from the girls team include Carnes, Jayla Moon of West Hall, Ashley Brown of Lumpkin County and Jasmine Jenkins of Lumpkin County.

Boys first-team selections from the area include Manomano, Kavon Williams of West Hall, Blake Sims of Gainesville, Ishmael Hollis of Flowery Branch and Devaris Finch of Johnson.
